As a board-certified pedodontist, a diplomate and fellow of American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Shannon is deeply committed to creating positive, supportive, and stress-free dental experiences for his young patients. He brings a calm, reassuring presence to the dental chair and is known for building strong relationships with both children and their parents. His approach combines expert clinical care with a warm, friendly demeanor that helps children feel comfortable and confident in the dental setting.

Dental Education

Dr. Chuck Shannon is a highly respected, board-certified pediatric dentist with decades of experience providing exceptional dental care to children. A proud graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, Dr. Shannon earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1985 as one of just 37 graduates in his class—an accomplishment that reflects his early dedication to excellence in the field.

Personal Life

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Shannon is a devoted father to three grown sons. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, especially working on landscaping projects and spending time in nature. Whether he’s cultivating a garden or creating peaceful outdoor spaces, Dr. Shannon finds joy and relaxation in the natural world.
With a career rooted in compassion, clinical excellence, and a true love for working with children, Dr. Chuck Shannon continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of the families he serves.

Comprehensive Training

Following dental school, Dr. Shannon completed a rigorous General Practice Residency in Kentucky, where he gained invaluable experience in comprehensive dental care. However, his passion for working with children led him to pursue advanced training in pediatric dentistry. He completed his Pediatric Residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, one of the nation’s top programs for pediatric dentistry. After fulfilling all requirements and demonstrating his expertise, Dr. Shannon went on to earn board certification—a distinction that reflects the highest level of proficiency and commitment in the specialty of pediatric dentistry.
